Types of trips
Connecticut River
These trips start from our location on the Windsor Boat Ramp. You will paddle down through the last section of the Farmington River before entering the Connecticut River. From there you will continue a nice easy paddle to the Bissell Bridge. If you'd like a longer trip you can continue going down stream to Riverside Park just before Downtown Hartford where we will pick you up. Usually this trip takes around 2 - 3 1/2 hours depending on where you decide to get out. There are no rapids in this section.
The Poquonock
For this trip you will park at our location at The Windsor Boat Ramp. We will shuttle you up to the Poquonock section of the Farmington River where we will send you off. From there you will paddle about 5 miles back to where your car is parked. This trip is recommended for the nature lovers or anyone looking for a very peaceful and relaxing ride down the Farmington River. There is a small section of Class 1 rapids that can be enjoyed at the start of this trip, but for those who only want a calm ride, you can start at the normal launch point at Strawberry Hills Park.
Moonlight Trips
Experience the tranquility and wonder of being on the Farmington River at night. With the moon and stars above you can glide through the calm waters watching the fireflys and listening to the sounds of nature. The moonlight trips are done on the Poquonock section. Flashlights and head lamps can be provided free of charge or you can bring your own.
Multi-day rentals
If your going on a trip and you'd like a canoe or kayak to take with you, we've got you covered. You can either come by and pick it up if you have a means of hauling it, or we can deliver it to you if it's within the CT/MA/RI area. Please call us for rates
